因應COVID-19疫情升溫，原訂於6月24日至7月10舉行的2021第23屆台北電影節，將延後至9月23日至10月7日舉辦。

考量台灣疫情發展，在以觀眾和影人健康安全為優先前提，以及所需場地可行之檔期後，影展放映將延後至9月23日至10月7日，於信義威秀影城、京站威秀影城與光點華山電影館舉行。國際新導演競賽於9月28日以新聞稿公布得獎名單，台北電影獎頒獎典禮則因中山堂已無檔期，將另尋場地後再公告舉辦日期。

台北電影節相關活動將密切注意疫情發展，配合政府防疫措施與指引，進行滾動式修正。

Due to COVID-19 outbreak, the 23rd edition of 2021 Taipei Film Festival originally scheduled between June 24 to July 10 will be postponed to take place between Sep.23rd to Oct. 7th.

Considering the pandemic development in Taiwan, putting the audience and filmmakers’ health and safety as first priority, also considering each venue’s availability, the screenings of the festival will be postponed to Sep. 23rd to Oct. 7th at Vie Show Cinemas Taipei Hsin Yi, Vie Show Cinemas Taipei Qsquare, and SPOT Huashan Cinemas. We shall announce the list of winners of this year’s International New Talent Competition on Sep. 28th, and the date and venue of this year’s Taipei Film Awards Ceremony will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.
